I've had a wonderful time at the 2017 Close to My Heart Convention in Salt Lake City ... it's so much fun to reconnect with my little group of Nancy Debbi Nancy Debbie as well as with many others ... and to meet other consultants. There is so much excitement when the new Annual Inspiration Catalog is revealed on Thursday morning. Jeanette Lynton, the founder of CTMH appeared on stage and shared with us what has been going on for her (she was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease and it has been a long and debilitating 10 years).

Stacy Julian (from Creative Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooking, and Big Picture fame) joined us on Friday morning and revealed she will have a new partnership with CTMH in 2018 - how exciting is that? She is the ultimate scrapbooker and picture organizer!

We also heard from Stephanie Nielson - what a life! She is a plane crash survivor and has overcome so much. She truly is a beautiful woman.

Ever heard of Persnickety Prints? Chari, the founder of Persnickety Prints, spoke to us and gave us great tips on how to take better photos with our phones! She has a great site for uploading photos and will help us print even better pictures!

Saturday morning started out early ... it wasn't quite "bright" - before the sun was up many of us boarded a bus up to the capitol building and a hiking trail for our Operation Smile 5K run/walk. Close to My Heart has been in partnership with Operation smile for many many years. A percentage of a special stamp set goes directly to Op Smile and we encourage our customers to "round up" their order for a donation to Operation Smile. We also hold a live auction during convention. Many wonderful and creative consultants donate super artwork for this auction and our famous Sticky Boy and Sticky Girl stamps are auctioned off. Our total donation this convention was in the vicinity of $45,000! $45,000 translates into 187 operations for these children born with a cleft lip/palate! Isn't that wonderful!
